A brief is what the client wants the developers to follow. This is used a set of guidelines and rules to be used to set out make game, what client wanted to be. This can be useful and can be more stressful for developers in making the game of the clients.

Own Brief:

Developers can have their own brief when making the game, how long stay within their client’s brief. Or sometimes it can be done by themselves, this is usually seen in game that are independent like indie game companies. This can give them chance to make any game they want to make, allowing them do what they want.

Market Research:

Market research can be useful by finding out what is most popular genre, any potential game ideas that are not been thought of before. Research can also allow the developers to find out what people want to see most, or want.

Ideas Generation:

Brainstorming:

Brainstorming is useful when trying of thinking about what game should be about. What is goal of the game, characters, plot, design and etc. This can be useful, it allows the developers to have a sort of an idea of game they want to make.

Mood Board:

Mood board can be used to in an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. This can be intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.

Thumbnail Sketching:

Art directors and graphic designers, as well as other kinds of visual artists, use the term "thumbnail sketch" to describe a small drawing on paper

What is Copyright for?

Copyright is there to be used to claim work that is owned. This can be also used if the product was used without permission, or someone else saying they own it. They could be libel to prosecution.

When 3D games were introduce, they were several games that have sexualized the female characters. This can be seen in games like Tomb Raider, Lora Croft was sexualized by the developers.
